I never set out to start a jewelry line — and I definitely didn’t have a big plan to launch a jewelry business when I started Alexandra Gioia back in 2014. But here I am. And honestly, it would have been a heck of a lot easier (and a LOT more profitable a lot sooner) if I had followed someone else’s step-by-step roadmap instead of learning everything the hard (and expensive) way.
I added permanent jewelry to my existing business in 2022, unsure if I was getting into it "too late" or if people in my area would even be interested. Even though my husband tried to convince me it was “just a trend” and not worth the upfront investment, I listened to my gut and went for it. My very favorite job is being Mama to my two littles, who are 7 and 9. Permanent jewelry has given me the freedom to work as much or as little as I want, all around our family’s schedule.
I later launched AG Jewelry Supply Co. so I could offer the same quality materials I trust in my own permanent jewelry business to other permanent jewelry artists.
